Terms of Service

1. Provider and scope
These terms govern your use of Restock, operated by K4-Engineering, Ebereschenstr. 13, 86179 Augsburg, Germany ("we"). Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.
2. The Service
Restock is a household inventory app: barcode scanning, automatic shopping lists, optional AI cooking suggestions, optional health/diet warnings, and an optional hardware barcode scanner.
3. Account and acceptable use
Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity in your account. Don't abuse the Service (no unlawful content, no attempts to disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload it, no automated scraping).
4. Plans, prices, renewal, cancellation
Free and paid plans are described in the app; prices are shown at checkout and processed by Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically (monthly/yearly) until cancelled; cancel anytime with effect at the end of the current billing period (Settings → Manage subscription). We may change prices with prior notice; changes apply from the next renewal.
5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers) and hardware returns
Digital subscriptions: you may withdraw within 14 days of purchase without giving reasons (email binventory2026@gmail.com); if you asked us to start the service immediately, you owe a proportionate amount for the period used. Hardware (scanner): you may withdraw within 14 days of receiving the goods and return them at your cost in essentially unused condition; we refund the purchase price including standard shipping within 14 days of receiving the return. Statutory warranty rights (2 years in the EU) apply. Refund requests: binventory2026@gmail.com.
6. Important disclaimers — product, allergen, halal and AI information
Product data comes largely from the community-maintained OpenFoodFacts database and from user submissions; it can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Allergen, nutrition, diet, expiry and halal indications and AI-generated recipes are provided for information only, can contain errors, and are NOT medical, religious or professional advice. ALWAYS verify the physical product packaging before relying on it, especially for allergies and medical conditions.
7. User content
You keep rights to photos/product data you submit and grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and display them in the Service. If an admin approves your product submission it becomes visible to all users; product data may be shared back to the OpenFoodFacts database under its open licence (see /attribution).
8. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties and limited to foreseeable, typical damages. We are not liable for damage resulting from reliance on product, allergen or AI information contrary to Section 6.
9. Termination, changes, law
You can delete your account anytime. We may terminate or suspend accounts for breach. We may amend these terms with reasonable notice; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. German law applies, excluding its conflict rules; for consumers, mandatory provisions of the law of your habitual residence remain applicable.
